Servers and plans on Aria Cloud
Watch your server's memory, CPU and disk, share it between projects, move to a bigger or smaller plan, and see what Aria checks for you.
In this page
Each plan is one private VPS that is yours alone. Aria sets it up, watches it and shows you what it needs. Servers lists every server in your workspace, and a project’s Server & plan page shows its own. You can grow a server, move to a smaller one, or put more projects on it.
What does the server page show?
- Size: the plan, vCPUs, memory, disk and location.
- Usage: CPU, memory and disk over the last 24 hours or 7 days. Aria reads the server every minute.
- What runs on it: each project and its share of the memory, and how much room is left.
- Health and security: when it was last checked, and whether every check passes.
- Suggestions: what Aria saw, why it matters and what to do.
- Billing: the next charge, the way to pay and the last invoices.
You can rename a server in Aria to remember it. This changes nothing on the server itself.
How do I put another project on a server?
Choose Add an app to this server, or pick the server when you set up a new project. Aria shows the room left and refuses a project that does not fit, and the card says which things would fit. See Limits.
The project that owns the server pays for it. The others show as guests, and they cost nothing more.
How do I move to a bigger plan?
Open Server & plan and choose Upgrade, or See all plans. Before anything is charged, Aria shows what changes and what it costs.
- In place: the server grows, with one restart.
- Moved: Aria moves your apps to a bigger server, shows how many minutes they will be offline, and keeps your addresses the same.
If that size cannot be added automatically right now, choose Ask us to upgrade it. The team does it by hand and emails you a code when it is ready. Nothing is charged until you use it.
How do I move to a smaller plan?
Choose See smaller plans. You can move when what your apps use fits. Aria shows how much fits, the credit on your next invoice, the expected downtime and the location. It then moves your apps to a smaller server, and your addresses stay the same.
A project has to be running to move. If a server cannot move yet, its card says so.
How long does a new server take?
Most servers are ready in minutes. A plan or location marked Delivered within 5 hours is set up by hand, and Aria emails you when it is ready. The terms set out your right to a full refund if a paid server is not delivered.
Does Aria tell me when a server is short of room?
Yes. Aria samples usage every minute, and suggests a bigger plan and emails you when memory, CPU or disk run short. For slowness and errors it can also suggest what to look at in your app, and Ask Aria starts from there.
What about dedicated and GPU servers?
A dedicated server, a whole physical machine, and GPU servers are by request. Tell us the memory, cores and disks you need at hello@getaria.cloud. See Billing.
