Connect MCP

MCP is how a coding agent calls tools on other services. Aria runs an MCP server, so any client that takes a remote HTTP server and a custom header can work on your app, under the same rules a person gets.

What you need

An address, and a key.

Both addresses use the Streamable HTTP transport.

Use this one

One app

https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/<app id>

Your app’s id starts with wsp_. The key can’t reach any other app.

Every app

https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp

Every app in your project, with a few extra tools for the whole project.

The key

Authorization: Bearer <key>

Send it as a custom header. Keys are made in Aria, never anywhere else.

Make a key

Four choices. One key.

AI & MCP → MCP → Make a key

  1. 01

    Agent

    Open AI & MCP, then MCP, and choose Make a key. Pick your agent, or Other for any client.

  2. 02

    Reach

    One project, or the whole workspace. One project is the safer choice.

  3. 03

    May do

    Choose what the key may do, and when it expires: 30, 90 or 365 days.

  4. 04

    Make the key

    Copy it now: the key is shown once. Aria prints the settings with your values filled in.

From a terminal, aria mcp add --agent <name> does all of this for you. See the steps.

Add it to your client

The settings, ready to copy.

Replace wsp_YOURAPP and YOUR_KEY. Keep the key out of any file you commit.

Claude Code

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http aria-myapp https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/wsp_YOURAPP --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"

Run this in your repository.

Codex

~/.codex/config.toml
[mcp_servers.aria-myapp]url = "https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/wsp_YOURAPP"http_headers = { Authorization = "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }

Add this block to the file.

Cursor

~/.cursor/mcp.json
{  "mcpServers": {    "aria-myapp": {      "url": "https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/wsp_YOURAPP",      "headers": {        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY"      }    }  }}

Add this to the file, next to any servers you have.

Gemini CLI

Terminal
gemini mcp add --scope user --transport http aria-myapp https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/wsp_YOURAPP --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"

Run this once.

Antigravity

~/.gemini/antigravity/mcp_config.json
{  "mcpServers": {    "aria-myapp": {      "url": "https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/wsp_YOURAPP",      "headers": {        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY"      }    }  }}

Add this to the file.

Any other client

Your client’s MCP settings
{  "mcpServers": {    "aria-myapp": {      "url": "https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/wsp_YOURAPP",      "headers": {        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY"      }    }  }}

Any client that takes a remote HTTP server and a custom header.

What a key may do

Keep it as narrow as the job needs.

Whatever a key may do, deletes and other changes that can’t be undone still wait for you.

Check it works

Ask for your status.

Restart your client, look for your Aria server and its tools, then ask this. Every call shows in your app’s Activity.

Use Aria to show the status of this app.

Questions

MCP, answered.

What is MCP?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is how coding agents call tools on other services. Aria runs an MCP server, so your agent can look at your app and ask Aria to do things, under the same rules a person gets.

What is Aria’s MCP address?

One app: https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp/w/<app id>, where the id starts with wsp_. Every app in your project: https://api.getaria.cloud/mcp. Both use Streamable HTTP.

How does a client sign in?

With an Aria key, sent as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Keys are made in Aria, and a key from another service is refused.

How do I revoke a key?

Open AI & MCP, then MCP, and revoke it. A revoked key is refused on its next call. You can also change what a key may do, or rotate it.

Connected? Launch your app.

Every tool, safety level and key option is in the full docs.
