# Billing, plans and cancelling on Aria

> How Aria is billed: one flat monthly price per private VPS, ways to pay, a prepaid balance, invoices, changing plan and cancelling.

Source: https://getaria.cloud/docs/billing (updated 1 November 2026)

Aria is billed per server, not per seat, app, database or request. Each plan is one private VPS at one flat monthly price, paid through Stripe. One server can run several apps, up to 5 by default, as long as they fit in its memory. Prices are in pounds sterling and shown without VAT. VAT is added at checkout where it applies.

## What do I pay for?

- **A plan.** Each plan is one private VPS of a set size. The price is monthly and covers the server, Postgres, Redis and Supabase, builds, HTTPS and the dashboard.
- **A domain, if you buy one through Aria.** A domain is paid for a year at a time and renews yearly. Its first-year and renewal prices are shown before you pay. See [Buy or transfer a domain](https://getaria.cloud/docs/buy-domains).
- **Email, if you turn on Aria Mail.** 2,000 emails a month are included across your workspace, then £0.50 per 1,000, on its own monthly invoice. See [Aria Mail](https://getaria.cloud/docs/mail).

- **Your own AI provider, if you connect one.** You pay your provider directly. Aria adds no AI charge. See [Aria AI](https://getaria.cloud/docs/aria-ai).

There are no charges per team member, per app, per database or per request. A second app on a server you already have costs nothing more as long as it fits. Aria checks the room before it launches and tells you which bigger plan would fit if it does not.

## How do I choose a plan?

Aria sizes the plan from your `aria.yaml`: the memory your services need, the largest build, the databases, and how many people use the app at the same time at its busiest. It recommends the smallest plan that fits, with spare room, and you choose it. You can pick a bigger one. The plans and their lowest prices are in the table at the end of this page.

## How do I pay?

You pay on Stripe's secure form during setup. Card details go to Stripe, never to Aria. Your server is ordered the moment the payment goes through. Most are ready in minutes, and a plan or location marked **Delivered within 5 hours** is set up by hand. The refund rules are in section 6 of the [terms](https://getaria.cloud/terms).

## Which ways to pay can I use?

Open **Billing**, then **Ways to pay**. It shows every way switched on for your region, such as cards, Apple Pay, Revolut Pay and Amazon Pay, and which can be saved for renewals.

- **Default** pays first, for plans and renewals.
- **Backup** is charged once, by itself, if your default is refused.

They are saved with Stripe, never with Aria.

## What is the prepaid balance?

Add money ahead, so you do not pay each month by card. Choose **Add balance**, pick an amount and pay with Stripe. The balance grows when the payment arrives.

The balance pays your plans, domain renewals and Aria Mail first. The rest goes on your default, then your backup. A balance belongs to one workspace and pays only its charges. Its history shows each top-up and what each charge took.

## Where are my invoices?

On the **Billing** page. It lists your plans, invoices and ways to pay, and what the next charge holds. Each invoice has a PDF, and your company details appear on it if the project is billed to a business.

## Can I change plan?

Yes. A bigger plan grows your server in place where it can, with one restart. Where it cannot, Aria moves your app to a bigger server instead: before you pay, it shows you the price and how many minutes the app is down, and your addresses keep working.

You can move to a smaller plan when what your apps use fits it. Aria moves them to a smaller server, shows the downtime first, and puts a credit on your next invoice. See [Servers and plans](https://getaria.cloud/docs/servers).

## How do I cancel?

Open **Billing**, choose **Manage plan**, then **Cancel plan**. Aria shows what happens before you confirm:

- Until the end date, the app keeps running as it does now.
- On that date it stops, and a final backup of its data is taken.
- Backups are kept for 30 days. Start a plan again before then to bring the app back.
- Domains bought through Aria stay in your workspace and renew on their own dates.

You type the app's name to confirm, and **Keep this plan** undoes it before the date. The notice depends on the size of the plan, and [section 6 of the terms](https://getaria.cloud/terms) sets it out in full. There are no partial-month refunds for unused time once a server has been delivered.

## What about dedicated and GPU servers?

A dedicated server, a whole physical machine, is by request. Tell us the memory, cores and disks you need, we talk it through, set the price and set it up. It can have 120 GB of memory or more. GPU servers are by request in the same way. Email hello@getaria.cloud.

## What are the plans?

| Plan | Server | From (GBP, ex VAT) | Good for |
